Found between the picturesque IJsellmeer and the famous Volendammer dike is the world famous Hotel Spaander (ann. 1881). Over a thousand 19th century painting hanging in this classical building tell story of time gone by. The mind always works better in an inspiring surrounding. The characteristic halls, friendly service in costume and lovely foods and drinks guarantee an unforgettable gathering or party. The Hotel has 79 luxurious rooms. All rooms are fitted with shower or bath, toilet, radio, TV, telephone, pants press and offer a wonderful view of either the IJsellmeer of the world famous Volendammer Dike. This unique location is situated directly at the harbor and the ships can almost lay the gangplank to the front door for an ideal combination of sailing and meeting.
